Preparation

### Tetrahedron

* **Platonic solids** are shapes with regular, congruent polygons as **faces**.
* There are only 5 possible **Platonic solids**: the tetrahedron, the hexahedron (cube), dodecahedron, octahedron, and icosahedron.
* Tetrahedrons, and variations on a tetrahedron, are the foundation for many projects.
* A tetrahedron is formed by 4 equilateral triangles.
* Tetrahedrons are important in fields of architecture, philosophy, and geometry.

Combining triangles to form other shapes, like a tetrahedron, helps architects create strong structures.
