#### Group Warm-up

Before each group starts building, begin with how a group creates the foundation of the structure. The main rule for the structure's design is to be freestanding, meaning it's not attached to a desk leg for support or taped to the floor. 

Set about 5 minutes for planning.

#### Build the Structure

You can limit the pieces to only Strawbees straws and connectors or add materials to the mix. You can make structures out of cardboard, add tape, stack paper cards, or use Strawbees connectors and straws to make a foundation. Explore and create!

Set a time limit of building for 15 minutes.

Have each group present their collective structure to the entire class. Presentations to the entire class can take about 2-3 minutes per group. Measure either with a ruler or your own height to determine how high the structures became.
