    Parachute Lander Part 2: Challenge

    Strawbees Team

In this design challenge lesson, you will use the engineering design process to design your own parachute lander design that lands upright after every launch and protects a fragile payload such as an egg or tomato!

    Overview and Objectives

Design a stable and soft landing module!

    In this lesson, students will:

    • Design a landing module that will land upright and protect a fragile payload.
    • Build the landing module and attach it to your parachute design.
    • Test the parachute and landing module and collect data on how well it performs.
    • Use the engineering design process to improve the design.

Design your own 3D lander model!

In this design challenge lesson, you will use the engineering design process to design your own 3D lander model and then test its performance!
